ALLOY METALS
STAINLESS STEEL.
KNOW THE DETAIL.
A material category where the known grade, finish and previous application make a useful difference to the conversation.

MATERIAL OVERVIEW
THE GRADE MATTERS. SO DOES THE DETAIL.
Stainless steel can appear in sheet, tube, fabricated assemblies and machined components. Different grades can have different properties and intended applications, so any documented material specification is useful.
Share markings, existing material records or known grade information when available. A photograph, shine or magnetic response on its own should not be treated as proof of a specific alloy grade.
For a product or material enquiry, explain the required dimensions, finish, quantity and application. If certification or traceability is necessary, state that at the outset rather than assuming it is available.
