A load containing several types of metal needs a clear description. Start with what you know: the main materials, approximate proportions and whether different types have already been separated.
Where practical and safe, keep identifiable metal types and documented grades apart. Take photographs that show the overall load as well as useful close-ups of markings, attachments and typical pieces.
If you are unsure what a component contains, say so. Visual information supports an initial discussion but does not certify a grade or establish whether a particular receiving arrangement is suitable.

Should I dismantle mixed components first?
Describe the components and discuss the handling plan first. Do not undertake dismantling or other work unless you are competent and equipped to do so safely.
Can a photograph identify the grade?
A photograph can help explain the form and condition. It does not establish an alloy grade or replace any required testing or documentation.
